Cozumel Cruise Port: What to Know Before You Dock

Getting Off the Ship

Cozumel has three cruise terminals: Punta Langosta (closest to downtown, walkable in 5 minutes), the International Pier, and the Puerto Maya pier (both about 10-15 minutes by taxi from San Miguel). If your ship docks at Punta Langosta, you can start any of our tours immediately on foot.

Walking Distance

San Miguel's downtown core is compact and flat — easily walkable for all fitness levels. The main tourist area stretches about 1 kilometer along the waterfront. All four of our tours are designed for cruise passengers on foot, with no taxi or rental car required from the Punta Langosta terminal.

Time in Port

Most cruise ships dock in Cozumel for 6-8 hours. That's more than enough time to complete 2-3 of our tours with time left for shopping or lunch. Each tour runs 30-60 minutes depending on your pace. Start with the Port Area tour for a quick orientation, then branch out.

Offline-First Design

International data roaming in Mexico is expensive or unreliable. Every Verythere tour loads completely in your browser before you leave the ship. GPS-triggered audio works without any data connection — your phone's GPS works independently of cellular service. Load over your ship's Wi-Fi or at home before you sail.

How Verythere Audio Tours Work

GPS-Triggered Audio

Walk to a point of interest and narration plays automatically. No buttons to press, no screens to watch.

Works Offline

Load once before you dock. No Wi-Fi, no data, no roaming charges needed.

Your Own Pace

Pause for a margarita, replay a story, or skip ahead. You control the experience.

Lifetime Access

Buy once, use forever. Coming back to Cozumel next year? Your tours are still there.
