Nassau Cruise Port: What to Know Before You Dock

Getting Off the Ship

Nassau's Prince George Wharf is directly downtown. Walk off the ship, through the terminal building, and you're on Bay Street — the heart of the city. No taxi, no shuttle, no transfer needed. It's one of the most walkable cruise port arrivals in the Caribbean.

Walking Distance

Downtown Nassau is compact. Parliament Square is a 5-minute walk from the terminal. The Queen's Staircase is about 15 minutes uphill. Fort Charlotte is the farthest major attraction at roughly 25 minutes. All three of our tours stay within comfortable walking range of the port, entirely on paved roads and sidewalks.

Time in Port

Most ships spend 7-9 hours in Nassau. You can comfortably complete all three tours in a single port day with time left for the Straw Market, lunch, or a drink at Junkanoo Beach. Each tour runs 30-50 minutes depending on your pace and how long you linger at each stop.

Offline-First Design

Bahamian cellular data is expensive for visitors. Every Verythere tour loads completely in your browser — audio, maps, and GPS triggers all work without any internet connection. Load over your ship's Wi-Fi or at home before you sail. Your phone's GPS works independently of data service.

How Verythere Audio Tours Work
